Cheryl Eve Acosta

Cheryl Eve Acosta's sculptural jewelry challenges traditional concepts of wearable art. She creates bold and distinctive pieces of body adornment where her designs treats the human body as a site of display. Each piece is uniquely hand crafted from your everyday fashion.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Cheryl Eve holds a BFA in Jewelry from New Mexico State University and an MFA in Jewelry & Metals from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including shows in Santa Fe, Atlanta, Chicago, Soul, Florence, and Munich and her work has been featured in numerous publications including 500 Earrings, Dreaming Jewelry, Art Jewelry Today 3, Stitched Jewels, Art Jewelry magazine and she has published her own book Hidden in Nature in 2009.

Her story was also featured on Que Pasa KC on KCTV 5. Cheryl Eve received Arts KC Inspiration Grant allowing her twice to participate in Kansas City’s West 18th Street Fashion Show. She recently participated at the Plaza Art Fair and was invited back next year. Cheryl Eve currently works from her Crossroads studio which you can visit by appointment.
